The Authenticity Lab

Experiments in selfhood.

What even is “the self?”

Guided through a series of live reflections, you’ll explore the tension between the selves you show and the ones you hide, the masks you wear and the truths beneath them. Blending psychology, philosophy, and lived experience, the Lab invites you to slow down, reflect, and connect in ways most of us rarely allow.

experiments in selfhood

Each Lab is built as a series of guided experiments, drawing from psychology and philosophy to explore how the self takes shape.

You’ll reflect on the identities you inhabit, the roles you perform, and the quieter parts of you that rarely find space.
Some moments invite dialogue, others silence, all designed to sharpen awareness of how authenticity is experienced in real time.

The Authenticity Lab is shaped by the meeting point of psychology and philosophy. From Winnicott’s idea of the “true and false self,” to Goffman’s notion of life as performance, to Sartre’s warning about living in “bad faith,” the night draws on theories of how identity is both constructed and concealed. At the same time, it leans on contemporary psychology — from attachment theory to somatic awareness — to show how authenticity is not just an idea but a felt experience in the body.
